The Opportunity

As Digital Communications & Channels Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our digital channels are consistent, high-quality, and member focused. You’ll monitor performance, maintain platform standards, and provide insight that helps shape how we communicate and engage.

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Monitor and analyse activity across digital communication channels, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Produce regular insight reports, sharing clear and actionable recommendations with stakeholders
  • Support content publishing and scheduling, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment
  • Maintain high standards across all platforms through proactive housekeeping and content management
  • Identify, log, and coordinate resolution of technical issues and platform bugs
  • Ensure effective tagging, categorisation, and governance across digital channels
  • Provide proofreading and quality assurance to ensure all communications are clear, accurate, and accessible
  • Act as a key contact for colleagues, supporting teams to deliver effective digital engagement

About you

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A passion for delivering high-quality, inclusive digital experiences that put members and audiences first
  • Experience of working with digital communication channels, platforms, or content management systems
  • The ability to analyse data and engagement metrics, using insight to inform decisions and improve performance
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and tone of voice
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving processes, platforms, and ways of working
  • The ability to build positive, collaborative relationships and support colleagues across teams
  • An interest in sport, community, or membership organisations (desirable)

Job details

Hours: 37 hours

Salary: £26,699 to £28,850 per annum

Location: Dual based

Contract type: Temporary for up to 12 months
